About AFP WNC

The Association of Fundraising Professionals Western North Carolina Chapter (AFP-WNC) is a chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP). We are an active, membership organization managed entirely by fundraisers who volunteer time to AFP-WNC. Membership is open to anyone committed to raising funds for community or charitable organizations. AFP-WNC events are open to non-members.

All members agree to abide by AFP’s Code of Ethical Principles and Standards of Professional Practice.

About AFP International
For more than 40 years, AFP has been the standard-bearer for professionalism in fundraising. Today, AFP represents 26,000 members in 170 chapters throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, and China working to advance philanthropy through advocacy, research, education, and certification programs.

Membership Benefits
AFP members have access to numerous benefits including training, networking opportunities, and fundraising resources. AFP-WNC members receive a monthly e-newsletter, “Focus on Philanthropy” and pay reduced admission fees for monthly luncheons and annual events, including the Philanthropy Institute and National Philanthropy Day. Many other benefits are provided to members through AFP International. If you have any questions or would like to speak an AFP-WNC membership volunteer, please email membership@afpwnc.org.

How to Join
Become a member of AFP International online. Dues vary depending on your level of membership (click here to view current membership levels and costs). Please note that the annual cost of dues for the AFP-WNC Chapter is $25 in addition to AFP International dues. If you do not wish to join online, please email membership@afpwnc.org to receive a non-digital application.
