AFP-WNC has no paid staff, so volunteers do the lion’s share of the work. We wouldn’t do so much volunteering for free if we didn’t have a strong commitment to our organization. But there’s a limit to how much we can do alone, so we need your help! It’s a great way to network with some of the region’s most experienced fundraisers, donors and grantmakers.

National Philanthropy Day Volunteers Needed

• NPD is our chapter’s most public happening.
• NPD is an occasion to express thanks and celebrate goodwill in WNC.
• NPD is a great time to together to advocate philanthropy and volunteerism, even as we promote fundraising as a profession.

Be a part of this year’s planning committee—you can help with anything from centerpieces to sponsorship. Just name your interest! We invite YOU to join us.

Help Write or Design the MountainCryer

AFP WNC is looking for volunteers to help produce both the print and online editions of the MountainCryer. In the short term, data entry volunteers are needed to prepare a new section of the AFP website—only basic computer experience is needed. We are also seeking people to keep members abreast of national fundraising issues on a regular basis, as well as other volunteers who will occasionally contribute articles. In addition, we require a new volunteer graphic designer who will produce the print version of the newsletter every month.

Membership Greeters Wanted
Occasionally we need extra greeters at our monthly luncheons to welcome folks, take payments and hand over nametags.
