September Luncheon Program

Adapting for Dollars | Fundraising Across Generations

For the first time in history there are four generations involved in fundraising: Traditionalists, Baby Boomers, Gen X Millennials, and Generation Z close behind. Each generation is philanthropic, but there are clearly differences in how they give, how they think about giving, and how they want to be engaged.

Hank Dunbar, Manager of the Charitable and Philanthropic Group at First Citizens Bank (Fall 2014) has a passion for the work that we do and brings a comprehensive, mission driven approach to his presentations. He will offer an overview of those generational differences and provide key characteristic and habits for charitable giving.

We will have an opportunity to contemplate strategies to successfully engage each of these groups, as well as our own work place and the generational differences with our colleagues. It will be an intriguing and enlightening session you won’t want to miss.
