Join AFP WNC for a special fall edition of Crafted Conversations at Piney Mountain Farm in Haw Creek!

This month’s gathering will focus on IDEA: Inclusion, Diversity, Equity & Access in fundraising.

We’ll begin together in the farm’s shared gathering spaces, with drinks, snacks, networking, and a guided conversation about how IDEA shows up in our fundraising work. We’ll explore questions around belonging, access, donor relationships, representation, power, and whose voices help shape our organizations.

Then we’ll head out to the flower fields! Participants will pair up and gather in small groups to pick their own bouquets, with plenty of time to continue the conversation, share ideas, and connect with other nonprofit professionals along the way.

And yes—you’ll go home with a gorgeous bouquet you picked yourself! Or you can donate it to Blooms of Kindness with whom we are coordinating donations of flowers to local healthcare facilities.

This is also a great team outing, so invite your colleagues, department heads, program staff, executive directors, or others from your organization to join you. You don’t have to be a fundraiser or AFP member to participate.
