Guided by closely held values and beliefs, affluent households are increasingly at the helm of our nation’s charitable landscape. Understanding which motivations and priorities guide these households is critical to any effective fundraising effort.

Holland Dunn, SVP with Bank of America will provide key insights from the 2023 Bank of America Study of Philanthropy: Charitable Giving by Affluent Households conducted by Bank of America Private Bank and Indiana University’s Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. The ninth in the biennial series on the philanthropic behaviors of affluent households in the United States, the 2023 report offers a nuanced understanding of the current terrain along with evidence-based pathways to chart bold new beginnings.
